Lodela is located in the middle of the Westhoek, a region in the province of West Flanders. This region is known for a number of tourist pearls.
Historic towns and villages
At 14 to 20 km you will find the cities of Diksmuide, Ypres, Poperinge and Veurne. You will also find many picturesque villages such as Beauvoorde (Veurne), Oostvleteren (Vleteren) or Sint-Jacobskapelle (Diksmuide).
Walking and cycling paradise
The Westhoek is an excellent region for walkers and cyclists. Several walking or cycling routes have been mapped out in the region, such as the Smuudse Smoefelfietsroute, the Bierfietsroute Poperinge - Vleteren and the Frontroute 14-18. You can hire bicycles from the Lo-Reninge Tourist Office.

Remembrance tourism
Anyone thinking of the Westhoek cannot ignore the many cemeteries dating from 14-18 and 40-45. The IJzer Tower and several museums are also dedicated to remembrance.
